Response to the flash flood in Nepal & Tibet
With experts confirming that a glacial collapse triggered the devastating flash flood in Nepal and Tibet, we are once again confronted with the reality that the climate crisis is already here.
Our partners in Nepal have long advanced sustainable practices and educated communities, both locally and internationally, about the consequences of environmental injustice. In this moment, MADRE will continue to stand with our partners in the region as they lead efforts toward repair, healing, mutual aid, and other essential community-led responses.
